The Shipping Situation Update:

You know what? It's definitely possible that Amourshipping will become canon. But you shouldn't care, and you certainly shouldn't be down about it if it does play out this way. Why? Because Pokemon is not a realistic show, and neither is it REAL. The directors a human just like us and their choice is unlikely to be the "best" one. So if we speak theoretically, there is no one "correct" outcome. I've learnt that that's what your imaginations and minds are for. I'm saying this to all the Poke, Advance, Pearl and Negai shippers out there- make your shipping canon.

But while you do this, we at Project Pearl will continue exploring our chosen ship.
